eCabinet Systems & Updating to Windows 10
Some eCabinet Systems users have upgraded to Windows 10 only to find that they need a new registration code in order to reactivate the free cabinet design software under the latest Microsoft operating system. (Major Change = New Free Registration Code)
However, their current email may not be recorded in Thermwood’s registration system and they might not remember the old email address that they used for the original registration process. (Even if they did remember the old address, they may not be able to retrieve new emails from that account.) Since they then do not enter the registered email address with their online request for a new free code, the Automatic Code Generator on Thermwood’s website is unable to fulfill their request.
Before upgrading to Windows 10, eCabinet Systems users are advised to:
· Open eCabinet Systems and go to [Communications] -> [Verify My Email Address] to assure that Thermwood has the correct email address in their registration database. If a change is required, the user can update the database to their current/valid email address within the same screen.
· Make a backup of their eCabinet Systems files using the built in Back-Up function and setting found under the [File] menu. This way the users’ data can be restored later, if required.
A little pre-planning can save an eCabinet Systems user a delay in getting back up and running under Windows 10.
